A company registered under Company Act, 1965 or Registration of Business Ordinance, 1956 are all required to apply Trading License in accordance with Laws of Sarawak.

In the event of f your business involves in entertainment, liquor, petroleum, market hawker, lodging house, tea & coffee etc, Council License is required.

On the other hand, under the Service Tax Act, 1975, operating a business without a license is an offence, and shall be liable on conviction to a fine, imprisonment, or both, so if your company provides the services like employment agency, engineering, advertisement, restaurant, vehicle service center etc, please ensure that you hae this Service Tax License.
